Introducing the Apple TV

http://money.cnn.com/2014/02/13/technology/apple-tv/index.html?source=cnn_bin

How to fix the Apple TV. That is the name of the article written by Adrian Covert on February 13, 2014. This article was about how Apple wants to expand its horizons and try to "take over the living room." They are interested in creating smart TVs, which would let them take over, dominantly, almost every technological market in the economy. They want to improve how users watch TV; however, every company that has done this has ultimately failed. Apple has not achieved their goal yet of dominating the market because of the fact that many already have HDTVs and that Apple is mostly good at music, not TV. They are two separate things completely and Apple is not going to be very successful.

In my opinion, Apple is a very strong and prosperous company. Many said that people would not buy Apple computers because they already owned a decent one; however, almost everyone nowadays has an Apple laptop. People will always be interested in the next top invention and with Apple being such a popular and well-known company, it's TVs will surely be welcomed into the market. There will still be more competition though and it is not known for certain whether Apple will make a good enough TV to begin with. Other businesses will be effected to if Apple does succeed. Apple will dominant everything really and there will not be that much competition anymore. Overall, I do believe that Apple can expand its horizons; however, it might damage the economy by doing so.

  1. This is a very interesting read old sport! Yes most people nowadays own an Apple laptop but other people are not very fond of the idea of Apple "taking over the living room." We do not know if the Apple trend will last for 30 years or 3 years! It is difficult to persuade people into buying another expensive, electronic device when they already own a perfectly good one! Loads of businesses will be hurt if Apple does succeed so this is really only a win situation for Apple. And if they do succeed, what will happen when the "cool" thing to own an Apple is over? Very well written! Splediferous job! Keep up the good work!

  2. I think that if where apple here to make a tv they would be successful because the people who already own apple products such as a Iphone or lap top are already pleased with the product so why not buy a tv by the same product owner

  3. I think that the Apple TV has a definite chance of becoming successful because many people purchase TV episodes movies from iTunes as well as music. They would then be able to access whatever they had bought directly from their TV. If the Apple TV succeeded, though, it would definitely create problems for other TV manufacturers.

  4. TVs made today already have many features like internet, and streaming, if apple made a TV i would believe that they would have some competition, at first anyway. Samsung, Google, and even Verizon have been in the TV business for a while, and they know what they are doing, i believe Apple would have some worthy adversaries.

  6. If Apple is successful in making a television then they will have complete domination over the technology world. It would be interesting to see if they would able to compete with the HDTV that has become very popular lately. But as you mentioned I too I always associate Apple with iTunes, and never really TV. But i think soon enough we will have iTV.
